Years with Jones Studio
39
Neal Jones joined his brother Eddie in 1986 as president and principal of Jones Studio. After his time following in his brother’s footsteps at Oklahoma State, Neal earned dual masters in architecture and business administration at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
During his career, Neal developed a diverse skillset in procurement, design, and production for the studio’s projects. Whether engaging with clients to understand their needs or managing large teams to ensure timely project delivery, his leadership guides our studio. The diversity of our studio’s work is a testament to Neal’s ability to navigate the particulars of any project type.
Neal lectures at universities and serves on award juries throughout the world, with a particular passion for teaching professional practice and mentoring emerging professionals. Notably, he was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration (AZBTR) and on the AZBTR Enforcement Advisory Committee.
On June 1, 2025, Neal retired from Jones Studio after nearly 40 years of shaping Jones Studio’s vision, culture, and growth. His legacy, defined by design excellence, mentorship, and public service, has helped make Jones Studio the nationally recognized, values-driven firm it is today.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE
“When someone asks how I knew I wanted to be an architect, my response is always: because my big brother wanted to be one. From a very young age, we always knew our path.”
