Posted by on Nov 8, 2018

In a ceremony attended by key project stakeholders, including representatives of the U.S. General Services Administration, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Customs and Border Protection agency, the city of San Luis, and the design team from Jones Studio, the expansion of the San Luis port of entry pedestrian annex opened with a ribbon cutting Wednesday, October 24. Included in the speakers were Representative Raul Grijalva and U.S. Senator Jon Kyl.

The project expands the capacity of pedestrian processing by 8,000 square feet and represents the importance of upholding the integrity and dignity of all users of the port through creating a safe, secure and functional facility, while simultaneously celebrating and protecting the resiliency of the regional environment in a manner sympathetic with potential future expansion.
