2000 | Phoenix, AZ | Commercial Office | 28,000 sq ft | $2.2 million
1998 was the first time Jones Studio designed for the developer market. Receiving considerable “buzz” around town, this project proved an office building could be built for market costs and still be architecturally unique, highly successful and environmentally responsive. The fundamental principles of passive cooling that were utilized in the past are still relevant today, and the NAI Horizon Office Building takes full advantage of these timeless lessons from the Southwest Native Americans. Locals have nicknamed the building “The Lobster Trap” and claim it may be a handsome building once it is uncrated. The Horizon Building has enjoyed 100% occupancy since its opening.
