This Saturday Jones Studio hosted the 9th rendition of “Inspiring Aspriring Architects,” an educational workshop organized by the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art in collaboration with Matthew Salenger of coLAB, and Maria Salenger of Jones Studio.

The event is an opportunity for teens to work with local designers and architects to learn more about the process of design and what it means to be a part of the architectural profession. In just four hours participants took in a lecture on design and aesthetics, drew and built a scale model, and gave short presentations of their ideas.

Mentors inlcuded members of 180 degrees design + build, Architekton, Urban Plough Arts, the University of Arizona, and Arizona State University.
