Twenty-three years after his first Friends of Kebyar Journal monograph was published in 1997, Eddie Jones and the work of Jones Studio, including the Scorpion Residence, the Jones Studio Office, the Outpost Residence, the conceptual Scottsdale Museum of the West design, the Prairie Raptor Residence, and the Singing Sands Residence, are once again featured in the most recent issue (Vol. 35.2, No. 89).
“Friends of Kebyar is a non-profit corporation and international network of people who advocate for the promotion and preservation of Organic Architecture, with an emphasis on the work and teachings of American architect, Bruce Alonzo Goff (1904-1982),” per the Freids of Kebyar website.
Jones Studio was coincidentally founded on June 8, 1979–the birthday of two of Eddie Jones’s architectural heroes, Bruce Goff and Frank Lloyd Wright. For 41 years, we have similarly lauded the merits of Organic Architecture and designed spaces with “meaning, integrity, and respect for the natural environment.”
To learn more about Jones Studio’s approach to organic architecture, reach out to Eddie Jones, who is happy to discuss the works of Goff and Wright and their enormous influence on his own work and practice.
